Announcing Women's Spring Bible Studies!

Dear Beltway Women,

I am so pleased to announce our spring semester Bible and book studies for 2014!  We have heard such great testimonies from many of you who attended Gideon and Captivating this last semester, and I know you will love these studies as well.

Here is a highlight of what is to come: We will be offering (3) different studies this semester, with (7) different meeting times.  I have spent weeks praying about where I thought the Lord would have us go…and I am so excited to offer these options for you!  We will also offer (2) sessions of studies for the Sunday and Wednesday classes.  First Session will start with Beth Moore’s Sacred Secrets and Lisa Bevere’s Lioness Arising: Wake Up and Change Your World…then move right into Why Do You Believe That? by Mary Jo Sharp for the Second Session.  You can register for the first session, or wait to register for the second session, or choose to do both!!  The studies are listed below, and I’ve included a link with each one, so you can check out the promotional videos of each.  This will help you make your decision on which class you want to attend.

When you make your choice, please register online here, especially if you need Children’s Ministry.  Also, resource material will be available in the Learning Center by the end of December.  Please remember to purchase your resources before you come to the first class.  This will make things so much easier for you!

Lioness Arising: Wake Up and Change Your World by Lisa Bevere
(offered First Session Spring semester)
The lioness rises from her slumber, a magnificent image of strength, passion, and beauty. Her mere presence commands the landscape, protects her young, and empowers the lion. In groups, lionesses act as one to become a creative and strategic force to be reckoned with. In the eight-week book study Lioness Arising, Lisa offers the life and image of the lioness as a fierce and tender model for women to wake up, rise up, and change the world.
Wednesdays at 6 PM, January 15-March 5 (led by Rene Black)
Book and Safari Guide cost $15.50 combined in the Learning Center.

Answer your doubts, build your confidence, and start changing lives.

We hope you can join us for an exciting semester.  If you’ve never joined a Bible or book study before, please don’t be overwhelmed!  We will connect you with a small group of women who will walk through the study with you, encourage and pray for you.  It is such a blessing because the Lord is always gracious to teach us something new, which brings a beautiful transformation in our lives.  Hope to see you there!

Blessings,
DeAnna

Breakthrough by Audra Butler

I have been feeling some very strange and growing emotions since quarantine began.  I can’t define them. The only way to describe them are jumbled and cloudy.  It’s as if my mind and heart are growing cloudier with each day. I was texting back and forth last night with a dear sister (because that’s what you do in quarantine 😂 ).  Her texts to me were the exact feelings I had been experiencing.  It was confirmation that we were to start praying for breakthrough. I woke up early this morning and was so ready to sit in His presence, open His word, read what He had for me and hear His sweet voice.  But, when I looked outside, the sunrise caught me!  I immediately ran out to enjoy the pinks and oranges filling the sky.  Then, I turned the opposite way and I was in awe of the almost full moon and a Great Blue Heron sitting so majestically on the neighbor’s pier.  Our Creator’s beauty always outdoes itself and speaks an infinite amount of word...
