Meet Angelique Moore

Introducing Angelique Moore!

Angelique is married to Jacob, Pastor of Creative Arts and Media.  They have been married for six years and have a five year old son, Kenaniah.  Angelique was a stay at home mom for four years, but this year she returned to work as a seventh grade science teacher and coach and is also in her last year of graduate school where she will earn an MA in Family Ministry.  Around Beltway Park, Angelique serves on the Home Team, Women's Ministry, Missions Team Leader, Prayer and Healing Teams and has been a past D-Group Leader.

Growing up, Angelique did not see herself married to a pastor at all.  She recalls her dad praying over she and her sister on the way to church once, that they would marry "God fearing young Christian men who seek God’s face in all they do and are in the ministry or serving at church.”  Angelique and her sister, only eight and ten years old at the time, looked and each other and said ,”Ewwwwww, no daddy, those boys are not fun.”  Angelique and her sister soon found out those were the boys to be with!  Ironically, Angelique's sister is married to a Senior Pastor in Los Angeles. They both now know that you can run but you can’t hide from your Daddy’s prayers!

Angelique was almost thirty years old when she got married and her twenties proved to be a huge faith journey of trusting the Lord in her singleness.  She had always only wanted to be a wife and mother and not seeing that happen on her timing was frustrating.  During those years, the Lord spoke prophetically to Angelique about being in ministry alone for some time before He would bring her the spouse He had for her.  This was not the news Angelique wanted to hear and learning to surrender to His will for her became the theme of that season.  Each day was a choice for her to truly trust God
and lay down her plans for herself.  The Lord was gracious to regularly bring people into her life to confirm prophetically the things He had promised her which confirmed to her that He did indeed know her heart.  While in this season, Angelique served as leader on many national and international mission trips speaking to college women.  She saw many breakthroughs, healings and deliverances and at the end of that season, the Lord was faithful and brought her husband to her.

It's interesting, given this season the Lord had her go through, that Angelique never thought she would do missions.  In fact, being a missionary was her worst fear growing up. She would pray, "Please God!  Don't send me to Africa!" In actuality, going to Africa in surrender when the Lord called her as a young adult has been some of the most joy filled experiences that Angelique has ever had.  Angelique knows that the enemy works hard to keep us in fear, but the Lord always has a better plan for freedom and joy.

Angelique has been gifted with the spiritual gifts of discernment, intercession, prophecy, giving, leadership and hospitality.  As a mom, Angelique uses discernment and intercession to pray for Niah, whether he is having a good day or a challenging day.  She has put her hospitality gifting to use cooking for her life group for two years and Angelique also had a group in her home for more than three years. She loves having people in her home, being able to prophesy and pray over people wherever she is in whatever way the Lord chooses.

Angelique truly enjoys spending time with her family, baking, traveling, worship, shopping, swimming or just being outside.  When she needs to relax, Angelique likes to go for a prayer run,
allowing the Lord to speak over her and release her tension and stress.  Angelique is also a firm believer in declaring the truth of God's word over herself out loud.  She knows that the power of the spoken word of God will always bring freedom.  Angelique will often put on a worship cd, clear her mind of distractions and center herself back on God's word and the freedom He so graciously purchased for her.

Angelique is full of adventure and rarely has a dull moment.  This was highlighted in her most embarrassing moment when she was a freshman at ACU.  Flying back home to California for Christmas, Angelique's flight in Denver landed early and there was a connection she could make to be home earlier if she ran.  Wearing a dress and pantyhose, Angelique ran as fast as she could about a mile and finally made the flight just in time.  Little did she know that the run had forced her dress to hike up her back side quite a bit!  As she boarded the plane, the flight attendant said, "Welcome aboard, you might want to pull the back of your dress down."  Thankfully, Angelique survived that experience and has lived to laugh about it now!

Please take the opportunity to get to know more about Angelique and her deep heart for God, family and missions when you see her around Beltway!

Breakthrough by Audra Butler

I have been feeling some very strange and growing emotions since quarantine began.  I can’t define them. The only way to describe them are jumbled and cloudy.  It’s as if my mind and heart are growing cloudier with each day. I was texting back and forth last night with a dear sister (because that’s what you do in quarantine 😂 ).  Her texts to me were the exact feelings I had been experiencing.  It was confirmation that we were to start praying for breakthrough. I woke up early this morning and was so ready to sit in His presence, open His word, read what He had for me and hear His sweet voice.  But, when I looked outside, the sunrise caught me!  I immediately ran out to enjoy the pinks and oranges filling the sky.  Then, I turned the opposite way and I was in awe of the almost full moon and a Great Blue Heron sitting so majestically on the neighbor’s pier.  Our Creator’s beauty always outdoes itself and speaks an infinite amount of word...
