Meet Marsha Hill

Next up is Marsha Hill!

Marsha is married to Mike Hill, Pastor of Family Ministries at Beltway Park and they have been
married for thirty-seven years.  What a testimony!  They have been blessed with two children and five grandchildren.

During the day, Marsha is a childcare provider.  Here she gets to use one of her spiritual gifts, her heart for children.  Marsha also uses another spiritual gift in her volunteer service at Beltway.  She is a Foundations Group leader and loves to bless others with hospitality.

Marsha loves to travel and considers it one of her passions in life.  Her family is also top on her list and she also loves to shop.  After a long day or a particularly stressful situation, Marsha enjoys a good movie, a glass of wine and plenty of chocolate to really decompress.

Growing up, Marsha never thought she would become a pastors' wife one day, however the Lord has increased her faith in the biggest ways through living out that calling.  When her children were still in school, Mike and Marsha felt led to Abilene for Mike to pastor a small church.  Homes were very hard to find, but the Lord provided a great home for their family with a wonderful school for the kids
and lots of new friends.  He made the transition smooth for them and showed His faithfulness to their family.

Marsha is extremely grateful for that faithfulness from the Lord and tries to walk out the freedom He has given her each day with that gratitude in mind.  When offense tries to steal her joy, she simply asks herself if the offense is worth ruining that relationship.  She finds that nine out of ten times, it isn't worth that.  After resolving that the relationship is of more value than her offense, Marsha then addresses the offense with a heart of restoration rather than justification.

It's this kind of perspective that keeps Marsha tethered to the Holy Spirit, even in her most trying times.  One of those times that caused deep pain was the suicide of her mother.  Marsha never dreamed she would ever experience anything like that.  Only the faithfulness of the Lord could have walked her through such a heartbreaking time and given her restored joy and hope.

Marsha Hill is a wonderful woman of God and a blessing to all who know her!  You don't want to miss Let's Get Together to hear more from Marsha!

Meet Gaylene Templeton

Gaylene Templeton  (better known as GayGay to her 7 grandchildren) has been married to Ray (Beltway Elder) for 42 years.  They have 5 children: Amy, Misty, Ashlee, Abe, and Addison.  Their children range in age from 41 to 24, and their grandchildren range in age from 20 to in-the-womb (expected in December and March). Gaylene is passionate about being the best wife, mother, and GayGay she can be.  She was truly stretched in her faith when she was only 17, and had her first child.  "The biggest faith step would be trusting God to provide for our family and give us the wisdom to raise Godly children.  The Lord helped me through this with prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship." Little did Gaylene anticipate, about 4 years ago, her role as GayGay would take a frightening turn!  Her oldest grandson, Harrison (now aged 20), contracted a flu virus that attacked his heart.  "He was in the hospital for about 2 months, and it was touc...
